No, I did not participate in the yoga class but rather I observed a class. Danielle and Craig had to do a project on "How to become an effective instructor" (or something along those lines) for one of their Human Kinetics course (it's something about teaching). Since Amanda and Sarah attends that class, Danielle figured it would be an opportune time to interview the instructor, Siobhan (pronounced "She-vonne"). Anyhow, they needed some pictures of the instructor and the class, so since I was the only one Danielle knew with a digital camera, I tagged along (for the first half).
Oh boy, I don't think I could do half of the positions that class was doing, although it was only a beginners/intermediate class! I can barely touch my toes so if I were to do any of those positions, I would probably pull a muscle, tear a muscle, or worse -- have a permanent injury. But it seemed somewhat relaxing. I really enjoyed the music the Siobhan played...very ambient. A mixture of relaxed dance beats with some nice instrumental/cafe-like music (if that's how you can describe it). Sarah and Amanda said that sometimes she plays Enya (cringe...I can't stand her) but this week's class was a little different.
Maybe I'll give it a try next semester after a hard week of work at DND.
