I can't believe I've already spent almost 2 months at work. Time goes by very fast. Today, I was looking over the resumes of potential co-op students for the office for the summer term. Right there, it kind of hit me that "oh my goodness, this experience will end in 8 weeks time". That's 8 weeks to impress the bosses and to wrap up my work. When I was looking over the resumes, I felt like I didn't want to leave this place. I think I've found a niche and I'm very comfortable of where I am.
I'm enjoying the work (yes...I have work now because I'm progressed too fast) and the people are really nice. My bosses love cracking jokes and everyone in DND seems to be quite friendly. I love how people just like to start up conversations and introduce each other when you're standing at the photocopier or printer. I'm enjoying the fact that I feel quite independent around the office now.
Will there be tears flowing come April 28? Time will tell.

After work, I quickly walked to the Faculty of Social Science Secretariat's office in hopes that I can clear up some course selections for the spring/summer session. I arrived at 4:20pm. The sign said they are open until 4:30pm. What do I see in front of me? No, not a person but rather a big brown door. WHAT?!? Such slackers! Our school admin can sometimes be asses (sorry for my language, but you have to experience them to understand). They give you incorrect information; direct you to wrong people; and they close early. Sometimes, it seems like they don't even want to help you at all. It's even worse than the government. At least we stay open until the hours we're supposed to!
Anyway, another reason why our school admin is stupid is that there is this poli sci course (POL 3602) that all poli sci co-op students must take during the spring/summer session. We are forbidden to take it during the academic year because it's 6 credits (full year) and on the social science website, it says that we have to take it in our course/work-term sequence. Anyway, courses offered during the spring/summer are up. And what do I not see? POL3602. I see POL 3102, which is the 3 credit one in the new Poli Sci program, but not POL 3602. So I wanted to go see the secretariat to get some answers. But no.....they had to close early. GRRRR...........
