Buzz

I was suddenly woken up at 7am by a fly that was buzzing around my head. I hate little buggers like that. I was trying to have a nice beauty sleep and then this little P.I.T.A. had to wake me up. Grrr...So I woke up and took a roll of newspaper (more like flyers this time around) and waited for it to land on a hard surface. It kept landing in areas where I couldn't swat it -- the window (I was afraid of making a loud noise and wake up my roomies or worse, even break it); my computer; my printer; even my towel! Ewwwwww.....

It finally landed on the armrest of my chair. So I swatted it. Strike 1. Totally flopped and missed. It flew around for a bit and landed on the armrest again. Strike 2. Missed again! Oh boy...gotta practice my swings! Started flying around the bottom of my desk. GRrrr... Then landed on the leg of the chair. By this time, it was 7:15am. I was getting a little frustrated. So I let out a big yell of "strike 3!" And swatted it. I think I hit it but I didn't find any fly guts on the newspaper or chair. Meh...so I waited for a couple of minutes to see if it would fly around again. It didn't, so I went back to bed. This was about 7:30am. A couple of minutes later, it came buzzing around my ear again! GRRRRR....So I got up and discovered it landed on my blinds. I tried swatting it down so I could have my at-bat again. It didn't want to move. So, I had a brilliant idea of opening up my blinds and squishing it. Hehehehe. I opened the blinds really slowly and then as soon as it got close to where the bugger was, I quickly opened it and the blinds squished him. It squished him gooooood. Hahaha. I just kept the blinds up for good measure whilst I went back to bed. Hehehe. Little PITA was pronounced dead at approximately 7:40am. I went back to bed and slept until 10am.

Going hiking today in Gatineau Park! Quebec...here I come! I hope to take lots of pics.
