I couldn't come up with a more creative title but nothing interesting has been happening other than work.
Started off the week being sick. I developed a sore throat last Friday evening and turned into groggyness by Saturday. I forced myself to go to Elijah Fellowship because of a committee meeting and decided to stay the entire night; although, I was planning to only stay for the meeting. Felt better Sunday but still a bit groggy. Then in the afternoon, I got this pounding headache and decided to take a nap to try to sleep it off. Meh..nap didn't really work. Made dinner but really had no appetite to eat so I threw away half of my dinner. Also got the chills. Decided to take a shower to see if I would feel better. That did nothing much either, so I called it a day and hit the sacks, still with a throbbing headache. I was going to take an Advil, but decided against it because when I usually get headaches, I would just sleep it off and the next day, I would usually feel much better.
Monday morning, I woke up to a slight headache, but it was something manageable. So I went into work thinking I would be able to work it off. Well, I went up to get something in another cubicle, and I felt sooo dizzy I almost collapsed. So I told my boss that I didn't feel well and she said I could go home. I told her that I would try to make it in for the afternoon if I felt better. I went home and slept for almost 2 hours. Tthis time, I took an Advil and it completely knocked me out. I had soup for lunch and was feeling better, but still tired. So I called my boss and she said no worries, that I should stay home and rest. So in the afternoon, I spent watching the OC Season 2. Hehehe. By dinner time, I was myself again. Woooooot. I hate getting sick. It makes life so miserable. And without mommy around, it makes life even more miserable.
Yeah, so the rest of the week was just spent working. LOL. Didn't really do much though because 1) my other boss was in the Dominican Republic vacationing 2) which means my other boss has to go to meetings and was out of the office most of the day 3) which means I sit there and look pretty while surfing the limited Internet I had. And I finally found the website where I can find internal job postings! I found a job that asked for students who were currently on a co-op work-term and is able to graduate by January 2007 so they may begin working. DARN! It was with the Office of Official Languages too! BUMMERS.
Yesterday, I took a little trip to Macdonald-Cartier International Airport. Why? Because I didn't know what to do with my e-ticket. So I decided to hop on the 97 and time how long it would take. It only took about half an hour, albeit it was Saturday and there weren't a lot of people on the bus. So I figured with rush hour traffic, it might take about 40 minutes from downtown to the airport. Arrived at the airport and I have never seen such an empty airport, especially an international one. Walked around a bit and then asked some dude at the Air Canada counter what the heck I do. He just told me that I had to go to the little self-check-in machines and if I needed help, there will be someone there. Ok, so that doesn't sound too hard right? Let's hope it will be a smooth check-in on Thursday.
Since I'm taking Friday and Tuesday off, I lose 15 hours of work. My boss gave me two options: work it off or lose the pay. Hmmm....well, since losing 15 hours of work would mean losing almost $200, I decided to work it off. I will begin my 8-5pm shifts for 15 days, after I come back from my trip. Meh...it's gonna be tiring, but oh well. That is life, especially when you don't get paid for vacations.
There won't be much updating this week. I'll probably update about my trip to VanCity with one long post. Three weeks of shortened work weeks! woooooooot!
