The "Everything" Baked Potato

After this morning's near 3-hour bike journey, which equated to almost 25km, I had to treat myself to something good. Since I was close to a Wendy's and my biking buddies were craving a Frosty, I had to order something that I haven't done in Ottawa yet -- The "Everything" Baked Potato.

Now, you all must be wondering, "well Lydia, there is no such thing on the Wendy's menu as an 'everything' baked potato". I know there is no such thing. I learned about this through someone that used to work at Wendy's and who told my mom about it. So this is a picture of an "everything" baked potato:

I mixed it up already before realizing that I didn't take a picture of it. Basically, an "everything" baked potato at Wendy's consists of:

  • cheese sauce
  • broccoli
  • bacon bits
  • chives
  • chili
Now, not a lot of people order such a dish, so when I ordered, the girl looked at me like I was crazy. So I basically, said "everything you have that you put on top of a baked potato except the sour cream". The lady making the baked potato was confused too. So the cashier girl had to tell her how to make it and since it was a slow day in the kitchen, everyone was huddled around the baked potato station! Hahahaha. It was rather funny. I should of taken a picture of the workers mesmerized at my order.

I do not know anyone else that orders such a thing at Wendy's, but I can tell you that it tastes absolutely delicious and it is quite filling as well; more filling than a normal sour cream and chives baked potato.

Should you decide to order such a thing (and I recommend you try it), the price should be as follows: $2.49 for a broccoli and cheese sauce baked potato. Add $0.30 per topping. So the entire thing, I believe comes out to a little bit over $4. But hey, it's worth it! Trust me. In Toronto, the workers don't give as much toppings, so I really lucked out this time :). Awesome lunch.
