Ok...so I'm not a soldier, but I could pretend to be one right? Hahaha...
Anyway, I went on a building health & safety inspection today and inspected a part of the building that even long-time DND employees never get a chance to access or go into. It was such an eye-opening experience and one that I will definitely have to put in my work-term report. Anyway, we inspected Clothing Stores, which is where all the military personnel get their combat/dress kit. It was sooo cool. We saw all of the clothing parts and how some of the stuff, including name tags, badges, and epaulettes were made. I felt like a little kid in there. I was all giddy about the equipment. I managed to try on two pieces of equipment: a helmet and a ballistic protection vest. Ah!! It was soooooo coooooooool!!!!!! But both pieces were very heavy. Props to our men and women who have to wear them everyday in Afghanistan and in other parts of the world.
So cool yet soo confidential. We had to be escorted around the place by a Warrant Officer. Damn...I was going to try to dress up as a soldier! LOL.

If Lydia can be part of the Canadian military, we know they're desperate...BAHAHAHAHAHAHA...
that's cool! i never would have thought that even clothing stores were top secret. i mean, i guess it makes sense 'cuz they don't want people stealing them and taking weapons or protection equipment and stuff...
it's so weird 'cuz the seemingly mundane jobs are all top secret. like printing passports requires top secret clearance 'cuz you're handling passport blanks.
