jeudi
I told my boss that I would try to make it into the office at 7:30am today so I could get off at 11:30am. Well, she said don't worry about it if you fail. LOL. And guess what...I failed. I set my alarm at 6:00am but I could barely even move out of bed. So I just slept till 6:45am. Hahahaha. I was soo tired that I just aimed to get to the office for 8am. I got to the office at about 7:55am (tee hee). Then my boss came in about 10 minutes past 8 and asked me if I made it. I replied with a resounding "no". We both laughed. So I did some a lil' bit of work, but mostly wrote e-mails and replies to Jenn P. hehe. It took some time away, then loe and behold, it was 11:30am! TIME TO GO HOME!!!!!
I got to the train station at about 12:15 because I had to take a detour to Subway to get my lunch and then the 95 didn't show up as usual. The train already boarded so I just walked onto the platform. I thought I would be stuck in a packed car and get stuck with a seat near the toilets (gag me). But I got put onto a near-empty car. Maybe it was because of my workpass which was still around my neck and the person behind me was also wearing a gov't workpass and thought we were on a business trip. HA. Got my own seat until Fallowfield-Barrhaven and then some girl sat beside me. The trip seemed to go quite fast. Maybe because I slept for one hour and then watched The Italian Job on my lappie.
Got off at Union Station and proceeded towards the subway. Oh-mah-gawd...you know it's rush hour in Toronto when people are such in a hurry that they will attempt to run you over even when you are hold a big red duffel bag. GRRRR... Got squished like a sardine on the subway and then to my facial appointment...mmm..relaxation! After that, we went to dinner at a pho place (sooo much better than any of the places in o-dot). Got home, unpacked, watched some TV, and went to bed.
vendredi
Went to Good Friday service at SCBC for the first time in 3 years. It was quite different from OCAC's (or what I can remember from it). It lasted 2 hours! I never remember Good Friday services to be 2 hours! It just kind of went on and on and on. Oh well. T'was alright...not the best service, although I did enjoy the Michael W. Smith's "Healing Rain" video at the end of the service. Kind of rushed out of church without getting a chance to talk to a lot of people because my parents were already at Harbour City Seafood Restaurant at 16th Ave. and Hwy. 404 for dim sum! It was really good food. Yum yum yum yum....
Then we went (window) shopping at First Markham Place (yes....Chinese malls in Toronto open on holidays), since it was the only place open. Spent a few hours looking around at some (real and fake) stuff. Everytime I go to Chinese malls, I wonder why Asians are soo fascinated with naming their stores en français. They can barely pronounce their store name properly and I doubt they know what the heck their store name means. At least I have yet to see any really bad grammatical errors or swear/bad words as part of their names. Went home for dinner and then off to get my hair trimmed (not really a cut but a trim!). I don't remember what I did after.......
samedi(Warning: disgusting descriptions ahead)
Woke up a little groggy, weak, and with a stomach ache. Rushed to the washroom to do my business and then ate a little bit of breakfast and went to my orthodontist appointment. I love visiting my orthodontist. We get along very well and we always like to crack jokes. Sometimes she has to stop doing whatever she is doing to my teeth to laugh. One time, we spent 10 minutes laughing and trying to calm ourselves down because I said something really stupid in Chinese. LOL. Like I said in the beginning of the paragraph, I wasn't feeling too good. When my doc went to get something in the supply cabinet, I told the assistant that I had to go to the washroom. I rushed to the washroom and did my business. I felt soo sick afterwards. After the appointment, I went home and this time, I had stomach cramps. Did my business again (gasp..it was only an hour ago that I did it!) and kinda ate my lunch really really slowly. Looked up my symptoms on WebMD and I diagnosed myself with food poisoning. Biggest symptom was large amount of bowel movement and diarrhea. URGH....... I felt better later in the afternoon; well enough to go to the mall since I had to help my mom pick out a baby gift. I was all good for the first hour we were there. Then I felt sick again and went to do my business again (ew for public washrooms!). I thought I would be able to pull through the rest of the mall, but I wanted to head home asap, in case it comes again. Went home and drank lots and lots of water to flush out the crap. I was still feeling crap so I couldn't even attend my aunt's birthday dinner. So I just sat at home and ate my dinner really really slowly and watched the Leafs cream the Sens 5-1. Too bad 10 minutes after the game, Tampa scored in OT to knock us out of the playoffs...URGH! Then I went to bed.
dimanche
I felt much better this morning, when I woke up, and went to church. It was baptismal Sunday so the sanctuary was packed. I couldn't even sit with my friends, although I was in the pew in front of them. After service, got to chat with some people that I haven't seen in awhile. It's always good to return to SCBC because everyone wants to know how I've been and all. Then went to Sunday School. Nick and Renee planned a special class. Since it was Passover, they decided to teach us the Seder meal that Jewish people celebrate. It was quite cool. They prepared eggs, chicken drumsticks (to replace the lamb's shank), the green veggies, and some other Jewish foods. It was quite interesting!
Went to Harbour City again for dim sum, this time with my 2nd cousin(? -- in Chinese, I call her biew goo tsaeh). Ate lots again. After spending almost 2 1/2 hours there, eating and chatting, we went home and did jack when I was home, other than pack.
lundi
Woke up too late to go yum cha so had to settle for pho again. Got to the train station at 2:45pm and the long was already pretty long. I played the "I have a friend getting on in ___ and I would like to sit with her" coy again and got my own seat. I thought they were going to load people into our car in Oshawa but nope.....so I got my own seat until Kingston! I was able to take a nap with my feet stretched out across both seats. Awesome. Then I just read a book and stared out the window the rest of the time and ate my dinner in between. Teee heeeeeee....
