So you probably might be questioning why I have a picture of Canadian R&B/Hip-Hop artist Massari in this post. Read on, and you will find out.
The adventure began at approximately 2pm when Michelle and I headed out of the apartment. I, to the grocery store, and her to work. She locked the door behind her and off we went. We walk to the bus stop and then went on our separate buses. I get to the grocery store at about 2:20pm and proceeded to do my groceries. Surprisingly, I managed to get everything I wanted, and up and down the aisles in 25 minutes. I love shopping during non-rush hours. The staff seem nicer and there's so much more room to manoever the shopping carts. I always get stuck with the crappy ones, but never go get another one because it's manageable. I had sooo much time left on my transfer that I decided to stop and skim through some magazines. Then at approximately 3:15pm, I left the grocery store. After packing my groceries into my purple Bin and backpack, I realized something was missing. My keys. C-R-A-P was the word. There was nothing much I could do becuase both my roommates were at work. One just left for work, and the other doesn't get off work till 4pm (or later...never predictable). So I just headed back to Lees, hoping that maybe the superintendent has a master key and could let me in.
I arrived at The Citadel at approximately 3:40pm and was let in through the main doors by another tenant. I went to the super's office and asked if there was a master key available. She asked me whether I was on the lease or not. I said no, I'm just subletting from the person that's on the lease. She asked me whether I filled in a subletter's lease. I said no. Then she said she couldn't do anything for me because of "security" reasons. C-R-A-P again. What to do? I could sit in the lobby and wait for my other roommate to hopefully come home at around 4:30pm, which means I would have to sit in the smelly lobby for almost an hour. Then I got the brightest idea.
I called 311, the City of Ottawa Service line and got put through to the Heron Road Community Centre, where Mich works. I told her about my little mishap and asked if her bf was around, who could get the keys from her and come by and let me in. Apparently, I just missed him. Buggers. Then the lightbulb in my head went off while I was talking to her. Why not call JC and Mel!??! I could just leave my groceries there and head to Heron Rd to pick up Mich's keys. I called JC to find if she was home. I got her voicemail. Buggers. Then I called Mel. She answered! Unfortunately, she was on her way to class, but she agreed to let me leave my food there. Thanks Mel! I owe you! I quickly dropped off my food in the fridge/freezer, so my food doesn't go bad, left a note for both girls and ran to the bus stop.
Hopped on the 8 and off to Heron Rd. C.C. I went. Hehehehe.......Then I got the keys. LOL. Because I still had time on the transfer, I chatted with Mich about her work (she has to stuff envelopes and fold letters...hahaha!). Then I remembered something. Here's the reason why I have a Massari pic in my post. Mich told me that Massari goes to the C.C. to workout when he's in town. Since they need a pass to get in, everyone has to get a "prison" photo taken. Hehehe. So I asked Mich to see his pic and she searched for it. Turns out he looks the same in all his photos, but has the "pose". You know, the pose that all R&B, rappers, hip-hoppers do...the face to the side and chin up look? Hehehe. And I know where he lives and his phone number. Can't tell ya though! Hahaha. But I'm not a stalker and I'm not a fan of his music, so I could care less. I was just curious. Hahah.
Finally left the C.C. at around 5:15pm and headed home. Hehehe. And yes, this time I got into the apartment with a key.
My food is still at JC and Mel's place. Thank God for awesome friends that live close by. It will be picked up tomorrow. Hopefully.
