What Are Your Goals After University?

What are my goals after university? I've been asked that question a gazillion times by friends, family, and co-workers. Do I want to go to grad school and do a masters? Do I want to take time off to travel the world? Do I want to start a full-time job right away (if one is available)? So many questions, but quite frankly, I haven't really put much thought into it. All I know is that it's in His hands and wherever He leads me to, is where I'll be.

Grad photos are taking place in the back of the bookstore and for the past three years, I've seen people go in and out of that place all dolled up and happy because they will be done their undergrad (or schooling) in about 5 months. My fellow classmates are having their pictures done; people I met in residence are having their pictures done. As for me, I just walk by and don't even think about it. It's a weird feeling for me. All my friends are thinking about grad school applications, job applications, and what they want to do after April, yet, I'm still in school until December 2007. I have another year to think about this stuff and will truly start stressing about it in the summer. All my friends are excited to be done school and move on to the next chapter of their lives. I, on the other hand, continue to wait. I guess that's what I get for choosing co-op.

In the mean time, I'll continue to walk past the bookstore and look at all the composites and wait for my turn come next November. I'll continue walking past all the grad school posters and ignore them. I'll continue to walk past all the job fairs (but should I really be ignoring those?). I'll just continue sitting....wishing....waiting.....
